Fear Uncertainty and Doubt It is my experience that this well known acronym is in fact wrong and should be DUF, Doubt, Uncertainty and Fear. Fear is that corrosive component in our thinking that forms the basis of far too many decisions while Doubts and Uncertainty just happens to be part of the fuel that drives Fear. Governance vs Outcomes

I hear the constant refrain, why do so many projects fail, and not for one minute would it make sense to try and ascribe one single reason for this. How well do we manage cost vs value? Do most people even know the difference? We always notice cost and we even have a commonly used phrase "cost conscious", but have you ever heard anybody mention "value conscious"?
